The Center for Lawful Access and Abuse Deterrence recommends policies and coordinates efforts to address the U.S. prescription drug abuse epidemic while preserving patient access to care. CLAAD’s coalition members are comprised of not-for-profit and commercial organizations that share our values and vision. The organizations participating in the CLAAD coalition are transforming policy and improving practice across numerous sectors, including federal and state governments, corporations, law enforcement, professional associations, and health care providers.

Our commercial partners have access to a variety of unique opportunities and events, including the National Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Policy Consensus Meeting. They become part of CLAAD’s one-of-a-kind alliance of professional associations and public health and safety organizations. Benefits to a commercial partner include the networking, information sharing, planning, and results that come from our coalition’s collaboration and mutual support.

Commercial partners may also sponsor and take part in specific projects aimed at accelerating effective, balanced solutions to prescription drug diversion, misuse, and abuse. The specific opportunities and events available to commercial sponsors vary according to contribution level.

By coordinating our efforts and uniting the resources of the various entities who work to address prescription drug diversion, misuse and abuse, CLAAD expedites solutions to this national epidemic. We make an impact unlike any other group effort. Our unparalleled policy analysis and coordination engage respected opinion leaders and decision makers in the public and private sectors.

While we have numerous contacts and communicate frequently with government and corporate officials, we do not exploit these relationships to promote the interests of any member of our alliance. The Center for Lawful Access and Abuse Deterrence does not engage in direct advocacy or provide lobbying services of any kind for any particular coalition member.

Organizations become a part of the CLAAD coalition because they share our commitment and want to work collaboratively to promote balanced policy solutions to prescription drug diversion, misuse, and abuse.
