
CLAAD To Co-Host National Dialogue on Drug-Impaired Driving
March 22, 2012 - A Florida judge recently declared that he will suspend defendants’ drivers’ licenses if he finds that the individuals are using oxycodone -- unless they produce a letter from their prescriber stating that they are capable of driving safely.[1] This approach could put health care practitioners at greater risk for liability. To address the complex policy issues related to drug-impaired driving, CLAAD will co-host a national dialogue on April 12, 2012, as part of the National Rx Drug Abuse Summit. Full story.
