CLAAD constantly monitors legislation, policy making, scientific research, and current events related to prescription drug abuse and pain care. We disseminate this information through the News sections of our website, through our newsletter, Policy Brief, and via online forums such as LinkedIn.
CLAAD’s policy positions are established through a consensus process, in which at least 80 percent of the participants must represent not-for-profit organizations. This rule of governance ensures that the public interest drives CLAAD’s priorities, as opposed to the interests of individual stakeholders.
Policy Brief is a monthly online newsletter for CLAAD coalition members and others who have an interest prescription drug abuse prevention policy. We provide a comprehensive look at current events in a condensed and efficient news digest.
